Virtual advertising: Sponix, first to use "fully green" overlay technology for international games

SponixTech, a company based in Doha (QAT) specialised in broadcasting and advertising technology solutions and services, and part of the Aser Ventures group, has become the first company to use a "fully green solution" to implement digital overlay technology during "two simultaneous international games," announced the technology company on 27/03/2023.

SponixTech's virtual advertising technology, "SPboard" was used during the Germany - Peru (2-0) and Morocco - Brazil (2-1) friendlies on 25/03/2023. The technology was "managed wholly via AI remote tech over the Cloud from Doha (Qatar), there was no need for traditional broadcast vans and expensive kit set up on site and with the advantage of being able to tailor the advertising for each market, during the in-match feed. Despite being managed from a different continent - a full day's travel away from the matches in Germany and Morocco - Sponix overlaid feeds for right holders in South America to position their brands across different regions more strategically," explained the company.
