Sportem: "Our goal is to become fans' 2^nd favourite club after their favourite club" (AFC Ajax)

"We publish our content in English because we are an international club and we want to conquer the world: out of our 38 million subscribers, only 10% come from the Netherlands and 90% from the rest of the world. They wouldn't understand our content if it was published in Dutch! Our goal is to be the second favourite club of all football fans, after their favourite club," said Dries Govers and Sven Koeneman, members of AFC Ajax's (Eredivisie) social media team, during the seventh edition of the Sports Marketing Exhibition (Sportem) at the Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris (FRA), on 28/03/2023.

The Dutch club's representatives took part in a round table discussion entitled "The valuation of digital assets for sports rights holders" where they spoke alongside Benjamin Abitbol, director at EY - Parthenon, and Olivier Spaeth, manager at Horizm.
