USA: Guinness remains title sponsor of the International Champions Cup until 2019

The Irish beer brand Guinness extended its contract as the title sponsor of the International Champions Cup, the preseason international club friendly tournament whose 2014 edition was organised in the United States and Canada, announced the brand on 17/11/2014. Guinness has been the title sponsor since the first edition in 2013, and the new contract runs until 2019. The contract is valued at €1.5 million per year.

The American company Relevent Sports, a subsidiary of CSR Ventures, created and organises the competition since 2013. Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins franchise (National Football League), is the co-founder of CSR Ventures. Manchester United FC, Manchester City FC and Liverpool FC (Barclays Premier League), FC Internazionale Milano, AC Milan and AS Roma (Serie A TIM), Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA) and Olympiakos (Greece) participated in the 2014 edition, against several franchises MLS (Major League Soccer). Relevent Sports will organise the competition in Asia in 2015.
