"The European Club Association will grow over the next few months and it will reach close to 500 clubs, which is a huge step up. It's at least doubling in size, if not more. We're putting structures in place to conduct the proper representation of all the subdivisions (ECA member clubs are divided into four sub-divisions according to their association's UEFA coefficient ranking, with subdivision 1 representing the most important clubs), all the membership groups (ordinary and associate), including categories like women's football and women's-based participation," said Dariusz Mioduski, vice-chairman of the ECA, to News Tank Football on 28/03/2023.

The owner and president of Legia Warsaw (POL) discussed the governance reform unanimously adopted at the ECA general assembly on 28/03/2023, which aims in particular to increase the number of member clubs to "more than 330" (compared to 245 in 2022-23), to which will be added some 170 candidate clubs included in the ECA network.
