England/The FA: £362.4m paid to intermediaries by professional clubs from 02/02/2022 to 31/01/2023

£362.4m (€412.5m as on 31/01/2023) is the total amount of fees and transactions involving registered intermediaries in England paid by professional clubs between 02/02/2022 and 31/01/2023, announced The Football Association (The FA) on 31/03/2023.

Premier League clubs spent £318.2m (€362.2m) or 87.8% of the total, while Sky Bet Championship clubs paid £36.3m (€41.3m) or 10% of the total. The top two English divisions alone therefore account for 97.8% of these agent fees and commissions paid to intermediaries.

In the Premier League, Manchester City FC spent the most on intermediary and agent fees (£51.5m/€58.6m), followed by Chelsea FC (£43.1m/€49m) and Liverpool FC (£33.7m/€38.3m). In the Sky Bet Championship Norwich City top the list with £4.3m (€4.9m) spent.

The Football Association has also published a list of all payments involving registered intermediaries in England from 02/02/2022 to 31/01/2023.
