Real Sociedad: a turnover of €113m (+29.8%) & net loss of €4.3m in 2021-22

Real Sociedad (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €113.1m for the financial year 2022 (from 01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), up 29.8% compared to 2021 (€87.1m), according to the accounts published on the Spanish club's website on 04/04/2023.

All of Real Sociedad's business sectors saw their revenues increase, starting with TV rights, which rose from €66.1m in 2020-21 to €75m in 2021-22. Matchday revenues also increased significantly, reaching €14m in 2022, compared to less than €1m in the previous financial year. This is due to the lifting of Covid-19-related restrictions on the hosting of spectators in Spanish stadiums in 2021-22.

The club's wage bill also grew to €92.2m in 2022, up from €70.6m in 2021. Additionally, Real Sociedad posted a net loss of €4.3m, virtually unchanged from the previous year (-€4.6m).
