Equipment suppliers: a turnover of €169.9m (+36.5%) for Macron (ITA) in 2022

Macron posted a turnover of €169.9m in the financial year 2022 (from 01/01 to 31/12/2022), up 36.5% on 2022 (€124.4m) and 50.6% on 2019 (€112.8m), the last pre-pandemic financial year, announced the Italian equipment manufacturer on 04/04/2023.

80% of this turnover was generated outside Italy. Macron wants to continue "to focus its strategy on international growth." The group, founded in 1971, has 165 "Macron Sport Hubs" (shops and retail outlets) in some twenty countries.

The Bologna-based company (Emilia Romagna, ITA) posted an EBITDA of €24.2m as well as an operating profit of €18.4m, up 50.8% compared to 2019. At the end of 2022, the group's net debt amounted to €300,000, compared to a debt of €35.1m in 2019.

Macron, the official equipment supplier for more than 90 sports clubs, has been the most represented brand in the Top 14 since 2021-22 with three clubs under contract (tied in 2022-23 with Nike, adidas and Kappa).
