UEFA: Aleksander Ceferin re-elected president for 4 years, Philippe Diallo joins executive committee

Aleksander Ceferin (SVN), born on 13/10/1967 and UEFA president since 14/09/2016, was re-elected by acclamation for a four-year term (2023-2027) at the 47^th Congress of the European body held in Lisbon (POR) on 05/04/2023. He was the sole candidate in the running.

Philippe Diallo (FRA), interim president of the FFF, was elected to the UEFA executive committee with 37 votes out of 55. The other six candidates (elected for four years) were:
• Armand Duka (Albania), 45 votes (re-elected)
• Jesper Møller Christensen (Denmark), 42 votes (re-elected)
• Petr Fousek (Czech Republic), 40 votes
• Levan Kobiashvili (Georgia), 40 votes
• Luis Rubiales (Spain), 40 votes (re-elected)
• Andrii Pavelko (Ukraine), 31 votes (re-elected)

Only one woman, Laura McAllister (Wales) was a candidate for the position of "female member" on the executive committee (four-year term). The Welshwoman was elected by acclamation and succeeds Florence Hardouin (FRA), who was not a candidate and was in the process of being dismissed from her position as general manager of the FFF.
