RC Lens: a sporting & financial partnership for the development of Armenian academy Sardarapat FC

RC Lens (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and the academy of Sardarapat FC, an Armenian club from the town of Armavir, 45km from the capital Yerevan, have entered into a "technical and financial" partnership, announced the French club on 05/04/2023.

The aim of the agreement is to support the Sardarapat FC project through the development of its "sporting and structural components", in particular with a view to creating two professional teams: a men's team and a women's team, made up entirely of Armenians trained at Sardarapat FC.

The partnership is based on two axes:
• the sporting axis, with "the sharing of RC Lens training methodology as well as training courses at La Gaillette (Lens training centre) for the academy's best players."
• the financial aspect, with RC Lens' "participation in the institution's operating costs."
