France/La chaine L'Équipe: 1.7% audience share in March 2023, "best March ever" for the channel

La chaine L'Équipe posted an audience share of 1.7% in March 2023 (+12% in one year), the "best March ever" for the French free DTT channel, according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie communicated by the channel on 03/04/2023.

The channel also recorded its best March ever among men aged 25 to 49, its "prime commercial target", with an audience share of 3% (+14% in one year). It also registered an audience share of 2% among 25-49 year-olds (+9%).

Among the competitions broadcast on the channel over the period:

• Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) - FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) a 2022-23 Copa del Rey semi-final first leg (0-1), drew an average of 1.1 million viewers with a peak of 1.4 million on the channel on Thursday 02/03/2023 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), according to Médiamétrie. Audience share: 5.6% (8.2% among men aged 25 to 49). This was "the best audience ever for a football match on the channel," said L'Équipe.

• The 17 races at the end of the 2022-23 biathlon season broadcast on the channel in March drew an average of 680,000 viewers.
