Club Atlético de Madrid: a turnover of €377.7m (+16%) & net loss of €22.6m in 2021-22

Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €377.7m for the financial year 2021-22 (01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), up 16% compared to 2020-21 (€325.5m), according to accounts published on the Spanish club's website in early April 2023.

The increase is mainly due to higher season ticket and socios revenues, which rose from €4.1m in 2021 to €43.6m in 2022 thanks to the end of restrictions on Spanish stadiums due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Competition-related revenues also increased, reaching €111.4m in 2021-22, up from €85.7m in 2020-21. Commercial and advertising revenues, on the other hand, fell from €144.9m in 2021 to €131.4m in 2022.

Atlético Madrid's wage bill was €254.2m in 2021-22, a slight increase on the previous season (€247.5m). Finally, the club's net loss was significantly reduced, to €22.6m in 2022 from €86m in 2021.
