UEFA Football Board: 20 personalities (players/coaches) to gather for the first time on 24/04/2023

Rules of the game, refereeing, international match calendars, European competitions, youth football, tactic and health are among the topics that will be addressed by the UEFA Football Board, a new body bringing together 20 football personalities (players or coaches, see list below) and which was officially approved by the UEFA Executive Committee in Lisbon (POR) on 04/04/2023.

The UEFA Football Board, initiated by Zvonimir Boban (CRO), UEFA's chief of football, assisted by Roberto Rosetti (ITA), the European body's chief refereeing officer, will hold its first meeting in Nyon (SUI) at the UEFA headquarters on Monday 24/04/2023, on the same day as the Youth League final (to be played in Geneva at 18:00 CET between the winner of Sporting CP - AZ Alkmaar and the winner of Hajduk Split - AC Milan).

The aim of this new body is to benefit from the experience of major personalities who have marked football's history, on the pitch and/or on the bench. The outcome of the discussions will be passed on to UEFA's decision-making bodies and may result in regulatory changes.
