Germany: the Federation (DFB) to sell its women's national team shirts on MatchWornShirt (auction)

The Deutscher Fussball Bund (DFB) has entered into a collaboration agreement with MatchWornShirt to sell match shirts worn and signed by the women's national team players on the Dutch auction platform, announced the German Federation on 11/04/2023.

As part of the agreement, "the DFB will use part of the proceeds from the jersey auctions to support the social activities and projects of the DFB Foundations," said the German body. The Dutch company has also launched similar initiatives with several Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs in 2022-23, including Olympique Lyonnais, Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain.

The German national women's team recently welcomed its first dedicated partner, the home appliances group Vorwerk, on 22/02/2023. Two other brands also expanded their existing sponsorship agreements with the DFB to include the Frauen-Nationalmannschaft: the sports betting operator bwin (GIB) and the tyre brand Continental (GER), both from 01/01/2023.
