Warner Bros. Discovery: the "Max" platform (HBO Max/Discovery+ merger) to launch on 23/05/2023

Warner Bros. Discovery, parent company of the pay-TV group Eurosport, will launch its new streaming platform "Max" (resulting from the merger of the HBO Max and Discovery+ services) on 23/05/2023 in the United States, announced the media and entertainment conglomerate on 12/04/2023.

"Max will bring HBO Max’s can’t-miss programming and Discovery+’s engaging real life entertainment content together to create a complete viewing experience for all ages. The service will feature a regular freshness of content," said Warner Bros. Discovery.

Three subscriptions prices will be offered:

• "Max Ad-Lite" ($9.99/€9.12 per month or $99.99/€91.3 per year): two concurrent streams, 1080p resolution, no offline downloads, 5.1 surround sound quality;

• "Max Ad Free" ($15.99/€14.6 per month or $149.99/€136.9 per year): two concurrent streams, 1080 resolution, 30 offline downloads, 5.1 surround sound quality;

• "Max Ultimate Ad Free" ($19.99/€18.25 per month or $199.99/€182.5 per year): four concurrent streams, up to 4K UHD resolution, 100 offline downloads, Dolby Atmos sound quality.
