Elche CF: a turnover of €57.6m (+6.8%) & net profit of €2.8m in 2021-22

Elche CF (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €57.6m for the financial year 2021-22 (01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), up 6.8% on the previous year (€53.9m), according to the accounts published on the Spanish club's website in early April 2023.

Promoted to the top flight at the end of the 2019-20 season, Elche's matchday revenues were up sharply thanks to the gradual end of restrictions on fans entering Spanish stadiums in 2021-22, following the Covid-19 pandemic. They rose from less than €186,097 in 2020-21 to €2.5m in 2022. Other revenues, including TV rights (€48.6m in 2021, €46.2m in 2021-22), remained generally stable.

In addition, Elche's net profit fell to €2.8m at the end of the 2021-22 financial year, compared with €11.9m in 2020-21. The Spanish club's wage bill was €38.2m in 2022, up from €32.1m the previous season.
