Energy saving: at least 10% savings for the "Sports Infrastructure League" in France in 2020-23

"A forecast of at least 10% energy savings during the 2022-23 season for sports facilities participating in the French Energy Saving Championship (see list below)" has been announced by Action for Market Transformation (A4MT) on 14/04/2023.

"The French Energy Saving Championship, created in 2013, was originally an annual energy savings competition for tertiary buildings. This Championship is composed of several leagues: schools, colleges, high schools, car fleets, sports facilities, housing, etc.," explained A4MT.

"The government's energy efficiency plan, contextualised for the sports sector by the 40 energy efficiency measures of the Ministry of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, defined a framework of actions in which the sports movement is involved. These measures aim to reduce energy consumption in the sector in the long term, by changing the use of heating, air conditioning and lighting in particular, and rely on the commitment of sports venue managers," added A4MT.
