Premier League: TV blackout lifted for Manchester City - Leeds United, Saturday 06/05/2023

Originally scheduled for Sunday 07/05/2023 (kick-off at 15:00 BST, 16:00 CET), the Manchester City FC - Leeds United FC game on Matchday 35 of the 2022-23 Premier League will take place on Saturday 06/05/2023 at 15:00 BST (16:00 CET) and will be broadcast in the United Kingdom by the pay-TV operator Sky Sports "subject to further consultation with relevant stakeholders regarding Article 48 of the UEFA Statutes (regarding the TV blackout rule in England and Scotland)," announced the Premier League on 22/04/2023.

The blackout prohibits the broadcasting of live matches in England on Saturdays between 14:45 and 17:15 (15:45 and 18:15 CET) and applies to all matches that kick off within this two-and-a-half hour window, in order to protect attendance at stadiums.

"The usual Saturday 12:30 BST UK live broadcast slot has been avoided so as not to clash with the King's Coronation (Charles III, ceremony scheduled for the same day), while a later kick-off is not possible due to police resourcing," explained the Premier League.
