Women's World Cup 2027: four expressions of interest received, FIFA to decide on 17/05/2024

These are the seven countries included in the four expressions of interest to host the Women's World Cup 2027 received by FIFA, the organising body, by the deadline of 21/04/2023.

"The expressions of interest represent four confederations (CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL and UEFA) and the remaining two (AFC/Australia and OFC/New Zealand) are hosting this year's Women's World Cup 2023. This level of participation confirms the global appeal of the competition," said FIFA on 24/04/2023.

South America and Africa have not hosted any of the nine editions already awarded, while UEFA (Sweden 1995, Germany 2011 and France 2019) and the Concacaf zone (USA 1999 and 2003 and Canada 2015) are tied with three each (see full table below).

The FIFA Congress (the assembly of the 211 member associations) will, for the first time, decide on the host country or countries via a public vote on Friday 17/05/2024 (venue to be determined). The FIFA Council will pre-select a maximum of three bids to be submitted to the FIFA Congress.
