esports: finals of the European LoL championships to be held in Montpellier (FRA) 08-10/09/2023

The Metropolis of Montpellier, the Occitanie Region and Riot Games, publisher and organiser of the League of Legends (LoL) esports circuit, have confirmed the dates for the organisation of the LoL European Championship finals at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier (Hérault, capacity between 11,000 and 15,000) from 08 to 10/09/2023, announced the parties on 21/04/2023.

Ticketing will be launched on 19/06/2023.

The event will bring together two European competitions for the first time:

• The final of the EMEA Masters Summer Split 2023, the second regional level (Europe, Middle East and Africa), will be played for the first time in front of an audience on 08/09/2023.

• The LEC Season Finals, the annual final phase of the EMEA closed league, will be held on 09/09/2023 (semi-finals) and 10/09/2023 (final). As a result of the changes to the LEC format from 2023 onwards, there will be only one final phase this season, as opposed to two in previous seasons (after each split).
