Union of European Clubs (UEC): a new body bringing together "small & medium sized" European clubs

"A massive day for football," said Daniel Lambert, chief operating officer at Bohemian FC (League of Ireland Premier Division) about the launch of the UEC (Union of European Clubs), a new body designed to represent "small and medium sized" European clubs, in Brussels (BEL) on 24/04/2023.

"Football clubs, of all sizes deserve a voice," says the new organisation, which is based in the Belgian capital. "Our office is located close to the European Parliament (Square de Meeûs)," states the organisation on its website.

"The Union of European Clubs fills a massive void and will champion the interests of the clubsthat form the foundation of European football," said Dennis Gudasic (CRO), one of the UEC founders, who is also the executive director of Lokomotiva FC Zagreb (Croatian D1).

"The UEC is a much-needed initiative to provide a voice to at least 92% of professional football clubs who today go unheard.
