Girona FC: Open Arms (NGO) logo to be worn on the shirt sleeve until the end of the 2022-23 season

Girona FC (LaLiga Santander) will wear the logo of the NGO Open Arms (maritime rescue and relief) on the sleeve of its shirts until the end of the 2022-23 season, announced the Catalan club on 24/04/2023.

This collaboration, which began on 25/04/2023 during the home game versus Real Madrid CF (4-2) on Matchday 30 of the 2022-23 Spanish league, should "impact more than 6 million people worldwide," according to the Catalan club. The agreement also includes a €5 donation to the NGO for each Girona FC shirt featuring the Open Arms logo, as well as the promotion of the organisation's educational programmes by the club in the schools and colleges of Girona (Catalonia, ESP) where it operates.

"We are proud of this collaboration agreement with Open Arms because of the great humanitarian work they carry out all over the world and we at Girona want to help them with whatever is needed, offering them the visibility that a football club like us can give them," said Delfí Geli, president of Girona FC.
