Germany/Fortuna Düsseldorf: launch of a free entry policy at the stadium from 2023-24

Fortuna Düsseldorf (2.Bundesliga) has presented its new strategic direction, entitled "Fortuna für alle" (Fortuna for all), which includes the introduction of a test phase for free admission to the Merkur Spiel-Arena (54,600 capacity, Düsseldorf, GER) in 2023-24, announced the club on 26/04/2023. Three second division matches will be free of charge in 2023-24, with the aim of eventually making all matches free of charge.

The new policy, which aims to bring the club closer to the people of the city and the region of North Rhine-Westphalia, is based on four major axes:

1. "To offer all fans free admission to league home matches, regardless of whether they are Fortuna members, season ticket holders, organised support, regular stadium visitors or visiting fans.
2. Use sponsorship income generated through the new channel in a different way. 20% will go towards youth development and women's football.
