Lega Serie A: Andy Mitchell (ex-Meta) named managing director of the League's New York (USA) office

American Andy Mitchell has been appointed managing director of the Lega Serie A's office based in New York (USA) since January 2022, announced the Italian professional league on 02/05/2023.

Director, news and global media partnerships at Facebook from 2014 to 2017 and then head of global media accounts at the social networking company, renamed Meta, from April 2018 to April 2022, Andy Mitchell replaces the trio of Charlie Stillitano (American radio presenter), Scott Guglielmino (media rights specialist) and Marco Messina (analyst at CBS Sports), initially appointed to head the Lega Serie A's first office abroad.

"The League competes at the highest level of football in the world and Americans have a unique relationship with Italian culture. There's a lot of headroom for us to grow Serie A in the US and I am excited to take on this challenge," said Andy Mitchell.
