Goal-line technology: GoalControl is the tech provider for the 2014 Club World Cup

The German company GoalControl will be the official goal-line technology provider for the 2014 Club World Cup (Morocco, from 10 to 20/12/2014), announced FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) on 24/11/2014.

"The German company began installing its equipment in Marrakech and Rabat," the two host cities of the competition, stated FIFA. GoalControl was also the technology provider for the 2013 edition, played in Morocco from 11 to 21/12/2013. The German company was also chosen for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil (12/06 to 13/07/2014).

  • The GoalControl-4D system will be used in Morocco, and will be subject to a final installation test, conducted by an independent institute, in the two stadium of the 2014 Club World Cup.
  • Before each of the eight matches in the competition, the referees will test the device themselves.
