The coaches and technical directors of the 32 national member associations qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar were invited to meet on Monday 08 and Tuesday 09/05/2023 in Doha (QAT) to "exchange views on competition and refereeing matters. Their feedback will also be used by FIFA make further improvements to the tournament in the future," said the International Federation on 09/05/2023.

The forum was also an opportunity for the coaches to discuss the 2026 World Cup (the first with 48 teams instead of 32), which will be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States. "We had the best FIFA World Cup ever in Qatar, but we always want to do better.... We are already organising the next World Cup which will be played in completely different conditions, (with) distances and travel," said Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA.
