European Cups: Sky Italia renews broadcasting rights in Italy for the 2024-2027 cycle

The pay-TV operator Sky Italia has renewed its broadcasting rights for the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League in Italy for the 2024-2027 cycle, announced the company on 08/05/2023.

Sky Italia will exclusively broadcast 185 out of 203 Champions League matches as well as all Europa League and Europa Conference League matches over this period for a fee of €220 per season, according to Italian media.

The operator currently broadcasts 121 Champions League matches (out of 137) per season for pay-TV (all matches except Amazon's) for a fee of over €100m per season over the 2021-2024 cycle. Sky Italia also holds the rights to broadcast the Europa League and the Europa Conference League free of charge and for pay-TV over the same period.

The American e-commerce group Amazon has also extended its exclusive broadcasting rights in Italy to the Wednesday night Champions League fixture for the 2024-2027 cycle (18 matches per season), on 20/02/2023.
