The British public TV broadcaster BBC acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights, in the United Kingdom, to the 2015 Women's World Cup (Canada, 06/06 to 05/07/2015), announced the group on 23/11/2014. The fixtures of the tournament, which includes the England national team, will be broadcast on the free-TV channels BBC Two, BBC Three and the "Red Button" (additional channel activated from the remote control).

Radio 5 and the BBC Sport website will complement the editorial content, and "will be bringing audiences the most comprehensive coverage of a women's international football tournament ever," stated the BBC. The BBC broadcast the Women's Euro 2013 matches and broadcasts the England women's national team, as well as some meetings of the Women's Super League (English 1st division).
