Manchester City: Nexen Tire extends partnership but will no longer be sleeve sponsor after 2022-23

Nexen Tire, a South Korean tyre manufacturer, is to continue as a global partner (2^nd level) of Manchester City FC (Premier League) beyond 2022-23, announced the club on 11/05/2023. The South Korean brand will however cease to appear as a sleeve sponsor from the 2023-24 season.

Nexen Tire has been committed to the Mancunian club since 2015-16, and its sleeve sponsor in the Premier League and Carabao Cup since 2017-18. At that time, the South Korean manufacturer became the first brand to feature on the sleeve of a Premier League club, under a deal finalised on 17/03/2017. The brand pays £10m (€11.2m) per season to Manchester City, the third most lucrative sleeve sponsorship deal in the English league in 2022-23. It has also featured on the women's team sleeve (Barclays Women's Super League) since 2020-21.

As part of the renewed agreement, the South Korean brand will continue to roll out activations on Manchester City's pre-season tours, including one scheduled to take place in South Korea in summer 2023. "In addition to Nexen branding remaining on the team bus and across the bridge…
