France/LFP: Ligue 1 Uber Eats & Ligue 2 BKT clubs mobilised against homophobia from 12 to 15/05/2023

"As part of the International Day Against Homophobia on 17/05/2023, the Ligue de Football Professionnel and the 40 Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT clubs are mobilising on Matchday 35^th matchday (from 12 to 15/05/2023) to fight homophobia on all grounds," said the LFP on 11/05/2023.

"The fight against homophobia is one of the pillars of the French professional football anti-discrimination plan. In this context, for the fifth consecutive year, a dedicated Ligue 1 Uber Eats (from Friday 12 to Sunday 14/05/2023) and Ligue 2 BKT (from Saturday 13 to Monday 15/05/2023) matchday will be an important time to raise awareness among the general public. Carried out on the pitch and on digital platforms, this campaign will complement the actions carried out throughout the season in the clubs," explained the League.

This national campaign will take the form of several actions:
• a film dedicated to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats and another to the Ligue 2 BKT relayed on the platforms of the LFP and the clubs
• the flocking of the numbers on the players' shirts in rainbow colour, symbol of the LGBT movement…
