Roland-Garros 2023: €49.6m in prize money (+12.3% vs 2022), €2.3m for each singles winner

The prize money for the 2023 edition of the Roland-Garros Grand Slam, which runs from 22/05 to 11/06/2023, is €49.6m, an increase of 12.3% compared to 2022 (€43.6m), announced the French Tennis Federation, organiser of the event, on 12/05/2023.

The winners of the men's and women's singles will take home €2.3m, the singles finalists €1.15m, while the winners of the doubles (men's and women's) will receive €590,000. Compared to 2022, the prize money for singles winners is up by 4.4% (€2.2m in 2022), while the prize money for players eliminated in the first round is up by 11.3% to €69,000 (€62,000 in 2022).

"Prize money for the singles draws will see an increase of 9.1 per cent on 2022, with losers in the first three rounds receiving between 11% and 13% more. Following on from changes made in 2022, the organisers have also chosen to increase prize money for the three rounds of the qualifying competition, which will rise by an average of 11.8%.
