The Fédération Française de Football is expected to enter into direct negotiations with broadcasters regarding the sale of the broadcasting rights to the D1 Arkema in France over the 2023-2027 cycle, due to the lack of a financial offer in line with its expectations following the call for tenders launched on 13/04/2023, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 12/05/2023.

The deadline for submitting bids for the broadcasting rights in France to the D1 Arkema and the French women's national team matches over the 2023-2027 cycle (4 seasons), as well as those of the Trophée des championnes over the 2024-2027 cycle (3 editions), had been pushed back to Friday 12, instead of Thursday 04/05/2023.

According to L'Équipe, Canal+ has made an offer for the TV rights to the top two D1 fixtures each matchday. The value of this offer would be slightly lower than the €1.2m per year that the group currently pays for the rights to all matches in the women's league over the 2018-2023 cycle.
