Ligue 1/Prime Video: a documentary inside the VAR control room during RC Lens - Stade de Reims

The Prime Video platform (Amazon) teams were exceptionally present inside the VAR control room during the RC Lens - Stade de Reims game (2-1), on Matchday 35 of the 2022-23 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season, on Friday 12/05/2023 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

This experiment is featured in the documentary "Sur écoute, RC Lens - Reims dans l'intimité du centre VAR" (RC Lens - Reims in the privacy of the VAR centre) available on the YouTube channel Prime Video Sport France. The seven-minute sequence traces interactions between the VAR centre, headed by referee Wilfried Bien, and the main referee for the match, Jérémie Pignard. However, it was not possible to listen to these interactions during the live broadcast on Prime Video.

This initiative comes after referee Benoît Millot was equipped with a microphone during the match between Olympique Lyonnais and FC Nantes (1-1, Matchday 28), on Friday 17/03/2023 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).
