"The M6 channel is reiterating its desire to broadcast the Women's World Cup 2023 at a price consistent with FIFA's decision to organise this competition in the middle of the summer at early morning times," said Nicolas de Tavernost, president of the management board at M6 Group, via his Twitter account on 15/05/2023.

No broadcaster has acquired the rights to broadcast the Women's World Cup 2023 (first edition with 32 teams, compared to 24 previously) organised in Australia and New Zealand from 20/07 to 20/08/2023, in the European Top 5 countries (France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom and Spain) as of 16/05/2023, i.e. 65 days before the opening match (New Zealand - Norway, Group A, at Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau Eden Park, New Zealand on Thursday 20/07/2023).
