CAF/TV rights: call for tenders for "flagship events" in several territories (2023-2025)

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has launched a call for tenders for the media rights, in sub-Saharan Africa and certain international territories, to its "flagship events" over the 2023-2025 cycle, announced the body on 15/05/2023. The deadline for submission of bids is Tuesday 13/06/2023 at 12:00 (Egyptian time, 11:00 CET).

"This includes a number of selected territories globally (rest of the world) in Europe, South America, North America, the Caribbean and many other territories," said CAF.

"The tender includes a number of selected territories in Europe, South America, North America, the Caribbean and many other territories," CAF said. The competitions concerned include the AFCON (2023 and 2025), the Women's AFCON (2024), the CHAN (2024) and the CAF Champions League (two editions). The tender includes paid, free-to-air and pay-per-view broadcasting rights.

"The rights are available for exploitation across most languages across the Sub-Saharan region including English and local languages, albeit with broad exclusions for the French language," added CAF.
