Serie A TIM/Italy: TV rights to be marketed over 3, 4 or 5 years for the post-2024 cycle

"The Lega Serie A Assembly, which met today in Milan (Lombardy, ITA) with the participation of all 20 clubs, approved the tender for the sale of audiovisual rights for the next cycle (starting with the 2024-25 season)," announced the Italian league on 16/05/2023.

Interested broadcasters will have the opportunity to submit bids for a cycle of three, four or five years. "The tender will be separated into eight lots, with different configurations, and a reserve price of €1.2bn per year for the three-year bid, which will increase by 10% in the case of a four-year cycle (€1.32bn) and by a further 10% (€1.44bn) in the case of a five-year cycle," said the body.

The tender is expected to be officially launched in May 2023, as announced by the Lega Serie A at its general assembly on 24/04/2023. "Interested parties will have one month to make their offers, and then private negotiations will start," said Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A.
