FIFA: McDonald's (fast food) extends as sponsor of the Women's World Cup 2023 & Men's 2026 World Cup

The American fast-food chain McDonald's has renewed its partnership with FIFA and will be an official sponsor of the Women's World Cup 2023 (in Australia and New Zealand, from 20/07 to 20/08/2023) and the 2026 World Cup (in Canada, the United States and Mexico), announced the International Federation on 16/05/2023.

The American group will have the status of "official restaurant sponsor" of the two competitions, the second level in the body's sponsorship hierarchy, and will therefore benefit from visibility on signage at the stadiums hosting the matches. As part of this renewed agreement, McDonald's will also be the title partner of the "Fair Play Trophy" for both World Cups.

FIFA also welcomed the Unilever Group (through its hygiene brands Rexona, Dove, Lifebuoy and Lux) as an official sponsor of the Women's World Cup 2023 and the 2026 World Cup on 11/05/2023. Unilever and McDonald's will be official sponsors along with American beer brand Budweiser (for both competitions) and Globant (for the Women's World Cup 2023 only).
