2023 U21 Euro: beIN Sports to broadcast the entire competition while W9 will show France matches

The pay-TV group beIN Sports France and the free-TV group M6 have acquired the broadcasting rights in France for the UEFA Under-21 Championship 2023 (organised in Georgia and Romania from 21/06 to 08/07/2023), announced the companies on 23/05/2023. M6 group has also acquired the TV rights for the 2025 edition of the competition.

The M6 group will broadcast all of the French team's matches free-to-air via its free DTT channel W9, while beIN will broadcast the entire competition. "During the tournament, beIN Sports will offer pre- and post-match coverage of all the French team's matches, as well as the final. 100% of the matches in the competition will be commented on by journalists/consultants from the beIN Sports editorial team," explained the pay-TV group.

The two groups had previously co-broadcast the 2019 U21 Euro, organised in Italy from 16 to 30/06/2019 (identical TV rights allocation to the 2023 edition). The public broadcasting group France Télévisions had broadcast the French team's matches (eliminated in the quarter-finals) on its DTT channel France 4 during the 2021…
