Italy: Eleven Sports to end operations on 24/07/2023, competitions broadcast on DAZN after this date

The pay-TV group Eleven Sports will cease operations in Italy on 24/07/2023, following the takeover of the group by the OTT sports platform DAZN in February 2023, announced Eleven in an email sent to its subscribers on 24/05/2023.

Competitions currently broadcast via Eleven Sports will be accessible on DAZN after this date. A subscription to the platform will be required to view the content. DAZN completed the acquisition of Eleven Sports Group and the US sports media and entertainment company Team Whistle (acquired by Eleven on 29/03/2021) on 15/02/2023. The platform had announced the acquisition of both companies on 27/09/2022.

"In order to optimise the viewing experience on a single platform, the Eleven service will only be active until 24/07/2023.
