Germany/DFB: Google, official partner of the women's national team for 3 years (2023-2026)

Google, an American technology services company, is to become an official partner (2^nd level) of the German women's national team through the Deutscher Fussball Bund from 2023, announced the DFB on 25/05/2023.

As part of the partnership, the American company will be promoting its range of Google Pixel smartphones, and will have "traditional advertising rights such as backdrops and LED panels, as well as extensive digital rights. Google will use its extensive digital possibilities to further increase the visibility of women's football and will thus be integrated into the German Football Association's strategy for the promotion of women's football and women in football. As part of this strategy, Google will help to raise the profile of women in sport and to develop women's football in Germany," explained the body.

Google becomes the second brand, after the German electrical appliances group Vorwerk (agreement signed on 21/02/2023), to sign a contract exclusively with the German women's national team.
