Premier League: American Chris Jurasek (Clearlake Capital) appointed CEO of Chelsea FC

Chris Jurasek (USA), an operating executive for Clearlake Capital (since February 2014), an American investment fund that is a member of the consortium led by Todd Boehly (USA) that acquired Chelsea FC (Premier League) in May 2022, has become CEO of the London club, announced the latter on 30/05/2023.

The appointment comes as Tom Glick, Chelsea's president of business since July 2022, decided to step down to "pursue other opportunities", but will work "closely with Jurasek in the coming months on the transition before departing the club. Jurasek will take responsibility for all the business areas of the club and will report to the board alongside co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, who will remain responsible for all the sporting activities of the club," said Chelsea FC.

"Chris is an outstanding executive who will add significant value to Chelsea. A collaborative and senior leader with experience across a diverse range of companies, Chris is a fantastic addition to our team," said Todd Boehly, chairman of the club, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, co-owners.
