FC Bayern Munich: K-H. Rummenigge, ex-CEO, back at the club as a member of the supervisory board

The General Meeting of FC Bayern München AG (the commercial arm of FC Bayern Munich, Bundesliga) has appointed Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as a member of the supervisory board, announced the 2022-23 German champions on 30/05/2023.

A striker with the Bavarian club from 1974 to 1984 (310 matches, 162 goals), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge first returned to Bayern after his playing career, taking up the post of vice-chairman in 1991. In 2002, he was appointed chairman of the executive board / CEO of FC Bayern München AG, a newly created company.

Former German international goalkeeper Oliver Kahn succeeded him on 01/07/2021, before being dismissed less than two years later on 27/05/2023, despite the Bavarian club's 11^th consecutive Bundesliga title on the same day. Since then, Jan-Christian Dreesen has been appointed as Bayern's CEO.
