esports/eLigue 1 Uber Eats 2023: FC Lorient, French champions for the 3^rd consecutive year

FC Lorient have won their third consecutive French eLigue 1 title, for which Uber Eats has been title partner since 2023, on the FIFA 23 video game (published by EA Sports) on 31/05/2023. The team, represented by Dan "Stingrayjnr" Ray and Julien "Fouma" Perbal, beat Olympique de Marseille 4-3.

Prior to the match, Julien Perbal, from the esports club Atlantide Wave, won the title of MVP and best newcomer of the regular season at the eLigue1 Awards, for the 2023 season. FC Lorient announced a partnership with Atlantide Wave on 24/02/2022.

For the first time, the semi-finals (23 and 24/05/2023) and final (31/05/2023) of the eLigue 1 play-offs were held in public (around 80 guests). The trophy was presented by former French international footballer Sidney Govou. Organised in collaboration with the agency UniTeam, the competition was played exclusively on the PS5 console from PlayStation, an official partner of the event. A cash prize of €60,000 was shared between the winner, the runner-up, the third-placed player and the fourth-placed player.
