FC Barcelona: collection of NFTs for sustainable development launched with Plastiks (recycling)

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) and Plastiks (a plastic recycling company) are marketing "an exclusive collection of NFTs in digital card format. 'Unleash Your Passion' features a total of 3,000 collatable animal-themed pieces of digital art, each of which contributes to removing 35,000,000kgs of plastic from our planet," announced the Spanish club on 31/05/2023.

The partnership "will allow the recovery of at least 1,000,000 kilograms of plastic, equivalent to 35,000,000 one-litre plastic bottles, which would also avoid the use of 800,000 litres of oil to produce these bottles," explained Barça.
