Manchester United FC (Barclays Premier League) recorded revenues (excluding gains from player trading) of £88.7m (approximately €110.6m) in the first quarter of the 2015 fiscal year (the 01/07/2014 to 30/09/2014), down 10% compared to the same period in 2014 (£98.5m, or €131.8m at the time), announced the English club on 18/11/2014. Manchester United says this decline is mainly due to the non-participation of the club in the 2014-15 Champions League.

The Mancunian club achieved an operating profit, before transfer activities, of £20.3m (€25.3m), a decrease of 8.5% compared to the first quarter of the 2014 financial year (£22.2m, €26.5m). After including the amortization of player contracts (£21.2m, €26.4m) and losses via player trading (£18.3m, €22.8m), the earnings before tax of Manchester United was £8.1m (€10.1m), against a loss of £0.47m (€0.56m) in the first quarter of 2014. The net income of the club amounted to £8.9m (€11.2m) on 30/09/2014, against a net loss of £0.29m (€0.35m) a year earlier.
