Brand Finance: Manchester City, Real Madrid & Barcelona, the most valuable club brands in 2023

With a brand value of €1.506bn (up 13% on 2022), Manchester City FC (Premier League) have taken first place in the "Football 50 2023" ranking compiled by the American strategy and brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance, published on 06/06/2023. For the first time, the Manchester club dominates the ranking of the 50 football clubs with the most valuable brands.

Manchester City are ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), who have topped the list in the four previous editions, and whose brand value has fallen in 12 months from €1.525bn to €1.458bn (-4%). FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) complete the podium, as they did in 2022 (€1.374bn, +4.7%).

No club has entered or left the Top 10 compared with 2022: the Premier League (6 clubs) and LaLiga Santander (2 clubs) remain the only two leagues that have more than one representative, while Paris Saint-Germain (6^th, €1.132bn, +10%) and FC Bayern Munich (7^th, €1.099bn, -1%) are the only representatives of their respective leagues (Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Bundesliga).
