Rugby World Cup 2023: Defender (Land Rover) launches tour of France to present the Webb Ellis Trophy

Defender, a range of vehicles from car manufacturer Land Rover, has activated its partnership with World Rugby and unveiled a "unique" hybrid electric vehicle designed to display the Webb Ellis Cup during a tour of France, announced the British brand on 31/05/2023, 100 days before the start of the Rugby World Cup 2023 to be played in France (from 08/09 to 28/10/2023).

The ten-date tour will start in Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) on 09/06 and finish in Deauville (Calvados) on 13/08/2023. The trophy car will be decked out in the colours of the 2023 World Cup, with the logos of the event's partners emblazoned on the bonnet and doors. "The bespoke Defender features an illuminated trophy cabinet, with state-of-the-art technology to control temperature and lighting to ensure the Webb Ellis Cup is always visible," explained Land Rover.
