Asian Football Confederation: K+ (Canal+) exclusive competition broadcaster in Vietnam (2025-2029)

The French pay and free-TV group Canal+ has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to Asian Football Confederation competitions in Vietnam for its Vietnamese subsidiary K+ for the 2025-2029 cycle (four seasons), announced the company on 08/06/2023.

"The agreement includes more than 25 competitions, including the final qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup, the broadcast of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup (held in Saudi Arabia), as well as the AFC Champions League and the AFC's second club competition (known to date as the AFC Cup). In addition, the men's national team matches and the final of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 will be broadcast on a major free-to-air channel in the country," explained Canal+.

K+ is a joint venture set up in 2009 between the Canal+ group, Vietnamese public TV group VTV and Opal, a marketing agency belonging to the Openasia group. "K+ distributes bouquets of more than 164 channels via satellite or its digital platform, and produces five premium K+ channels (including two sports channels) dedicated to the Vietnamese market," added Canal+.
