UNFP: Sylvain Kastendeuch to leave the French Professional Footballers' Union on 30/06/2023

Sylvain Kastendeuch is set to leave (on 30/06/2023) the UNFP, of which he was co-president (with Philippe Piat) for 16 years, from December 2006 to 03/12/2022, learned News Tank Football on 11/06/2023.

The former international defender, born on 31/08/1963, joined the professional footballers' union and was elected vice president in 1998, when he was still a player, before becoming an employee in August 2001.

"Sylvain Kastendeuch, co-president since 2006, has been asked to take up a new post, in line with the union's new strategic choices and the interest he has shown over the years in all matters relating to education and social commitment," announced the UNFP at the end of an elective general assembly, which re-elected Philippe Piat as president on 03/12/2022.

"Sylvain Kastendeuch, co-founder of the "Players For Society" movement, will head up an endowment fund that the UNFP will set up tomorrow to develop new projects that are perfectly in line with the French union's mission to work at all levels for the benefit of players," said the union at the time.
