France: Bastien Dechepy succeeds O. Lamarre as president of the Syndicate of Elite Football Referees

Bastien Dechepy was elected president of the Syndicat des Arbitres du Football d'Élite at the body's general meeting on Saturday 10/06/2023 at Futuroscope (Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, Vienne), announced SAFE on the same day. His term of office runs until 2026.

The Ligue 1 Uber Eats referee succeeds Olivier Lamarre, who was president of SAFE from September 2015 to June 2017, and then from May 2021.

"Bastien Dechepy, 37, cut his teeth in the Oise district in the former Ligue de Picardie. He is now a member of FC Cormontreuil in the Ligue du Grand Est. Promoted to F3 (National) referee in 2014-15, he moved up to F2 (Ligue 2) in 2017 and will be promoted to Ligue 1 in 2020," explained the Syndicate.
