Leeds United FC: minority shareholder 49ers Enterprises (44%) to acquire Aser Ventures' shares (56%)

An agreement for the sale of Leeds United FC (relegated to the Sky Bet Championship for the 2023-24 season) to minority shareholder (44%) 49ers Enterprises has been reached with investment company Aser Ventures, the majority shareholder (56%), announced the club on 09/06/2023.

Aser Ventures, the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers (NFL), had formed a strategic partnership with Leeds United and acquired a 15% stake in the club in May 2018, before increasing its stake to 37% in January 2021 and then 44% in November 2021. The English club had been owned since May 2017 by Aser Ventures, a specialist sports and media company owned by Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani.

"Both parties continue to work through the details, and further updates will be provided soon. All of our focus remains on a quick return to the Premier League," said Leeds United.
